For me, the UAE has always been more than a destination. Since the age of 16, I knew this was where I wanted to be. I still remember speaking to a few men working in the Gulf who encouraged me to stay. That conversation planted a seed I never let go of.

Over the years, I applied for jobs on and off. And in December 2023, I finally took the leap — boarding a one-way flight to Abu Dhabi with my son and a dream.

It was bold. It was brave.
And it was a calculated decision that changed my life — and his — for the better.

Now I help other therapists and counsellors do the same.
